Hello my name is Lucas Mercado I am a 2D Animator working in feature films and television. I received my BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) from Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) where i studied traditional 2D animation. I am very passionate about animation and every part of the pipeline, I am always open to learning new skills and getting out of my comfort zone. When I am not animating, I enjoy watching and playing baseball (go yankees). 

 

I am currently working on my first animated short film which is inspired by my Puerto Rican roots. My goal is to introduce animation to the next generation as a true art form and inspire young artists to push the boundaries and embrace their creativity and talent.
